Several years ago I got large amounts of yarn from a charity shop for an absolute bargain. It sat around for a long time as the yarns were much finer that I was used to use. I wanted to use the warm tones to create a piece that was reminiscent on retro colours, with the hues and statement look that crochet had when it was all the rage. I wanted a piece that looked back at crochets fashion roots but also set itself in a modern take.
