Blue

For about a week I had Eiffel 65’s song “I’m Blue” stuck in my head on repeat. I took that as a sign that maybe, just maybe, if I made a completely blue piece I would finally get the song out of my head. Unfortunately it did not work.

For this piece I used 7 strands of yarn that I “rescued” from a charity shop. The colours, most of them very similar but not identical. I was drawn to the deepest blues, so dark but yet so rich, working them together and seeing almost a purplish hue coming off them. 6 deep blues, maybe a prussian blue and an indigo in there highlighted with an electric blue so that the stitches don't become tiny dark voids.
